bring over 10 years of experience sharing cattle drives with the world.
We'd like you to be part of 2009's cattle drives conducted in the Big Belt
Mountains of Montana. The ranches involved are all family ranches;
most of the families have been in this area for close to a century.
We provide the scenery,
your horse, the cattle (of course), wranglers, accommodations, meals, transportation
during the drive, and entertainment. You are the one who will make
it the trip of a lifetime. You can read about a previous cattle

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrive in Bozeman or Helena, MT. We'll take you to camp where you'll
meet your partners in adventure, enjoy a ranch-style supper, and settle
into comfortable tent accommodations.
 Day
2: After a hearty breakfast, meet your
horse and review safety practices. Learn the basics of riding in
rough country from Monte. Then head out with your wrangler for an
orientation ride, and see how many cattle you can locate! Lunch
will be provided in the field. After supper, you'll have time to
fish, begin roping lessons, or kick back and enjoy a campfire gathering.
Day 3 and beyond:
...gather cattle and move them to a new location. Expect to ride
with cattle about six hours per day. There will also be opportunity
to do some riding to watch wildlife and enjoy the mountain scenery.
Evening activities can include campfire fun, mini-clinics in various rodeo
and western competitive events, and fishing.
The last night
of most drives includes a trip to a nearby hot springs to soak; sometimes
we'll have a dance under the stars instead.
We'll get you back
to town the next day to continue your vacation, or to begin your return
home.

This adventure is
for you if you enjoy horses, are in good physical condition, and enjoy
the outdoors. The cattle drive is limited to riders age 10 and older,
250 pounds maximum weight.
Cost
$1,600 per person.
Includes horses, wranglers, accommodations, meals, transportation, and
entertainment.
